The Joy of a Special Heart

Healing Parent 2 Parent

To all beautiful and brave parents raising children with special needs-

As a mother of a special needs son I have found great joys in the advocacy of fellow parents who are experiencing similar challenges in the rigors of daily life. The discovery of being able to hear from someone who is also sleep deprived and too frequently feeling at the end of their rope has compelled me to provide that same opportunity to other parents who may feel alone and in the dark regarding the challenges of their special needs child through an uplifting self-help book that expresses many of the wonderful aspects of raising a child with challenges as well as how to appropriately cope with the demands of daily living, all interjected with your inspirational stories of triumph, challenges and the joy's of raising these wonderful and edifying children.

If you are unable to assemble a story regarding your child, below are several questions that I would love to hear your responses on:
  • What things have you come to cherish about your child through their special needs?
  • What are your child’s strengths?
  • What have you learned through your child with special needs?
  • What treatments or therapies have been successful for your child?
  • What treatments or therapies have been successful for you?
  • How do you cope with the rigors of each day?

Your stories and responses don't have to be a novel by any means just enough to provide the warmth of insight. Your story can help provide another day of motivation to another tired or discouraged parent.

Also, if you are comfortable doing so, I hope to include a small picture of your family along with your inspirational story to include in the text of the book. (If you would the names of you and your family members to be changed and remain anonymous please let me know and I will gladly do so)

Please email me your question responses, motivational stories, and photographs to Crystal@GoLionGate.com.

Thank you in advance for providing so much to so many.

Sincerely,

Crystal Jordan
